Wedding Emergency Kit

A trend I have been seeing lately in wedding blogging is Wedding Emergency Kits.  Wedding Emergency Kits are kits designed to help the bride on her big day.  Wedding Emergency Kits are typically put together by the Maid of Honor.

Disney Collection: Alfred Angelo

So, I believe it is fair to say that I have looked at hundreds of wedding dresses online.  It is also safe to say that one collection always brings me back, Alfred Angelo's Disney Bridal Collection

They have two series of princess dresses (suited to each Disney Princess of course!) for Cinderella, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Snow White, Tiana, and Rapunzel. I stumbled upon these amazing wedding dresses when I thought to myself one day "Humm.. I wonder if anyone has ever created a Disney wedding dress?"  Imagine my delight when I Googled it and there they were!

The second series of the dresses are out now (3rd for the Cinderella dresses) and I must admit I was disappointed.  I have a strong preference for the first series rather than the second (with exceptions of Jasmine and Belle second series).  These dresses are fairly priced and come in sizes 0 to 30W

Due to copying I could not post all of the photos of the dresses that I wanted to.  I encourage you to go to the site if you love Disney princesses as much as I do or wedding dresses for that matter!

Pinterest

Oh no.  Week 8 is here and I have a new addition (besides blogging and Facebook). Pinterest.

Pinterest is a unique new social media that allows you to share cool things you find on the Internet with others similar to Tumblr and StumbleUpon.  However, this site allows you to organize what you find by 'pinning' photos onto 'boards.'  You can find a range of unique things on this site and share your own with people who follow you.
Example of my boards

When I was first invited, I was able to link my Pinterest through Facebook which automatically followed friends on Facebook that were also on Pinterest.  This allows you too look at your friends and others boards and 'pin' items you find unique to your board.

Boards can be divided into topics. For example I have Travel Across the World, So Much Food!, Movies, My Style, and of course Wedding Ideas.  It can be tailored to your specific personality and you can search for things that you are in the mood for.  I am in the mood to look at Wedding pins so Pinterest gives me just that.  While surfing on the Internet, Pinterest gives you a Pin bookmark that allows you to easily share anything you want with people on your Pinterest account.
Example of a Pin for Travel

Overall, this is a pretty good site and it is gaining the attention of many different people (specifically women who want to plan a wedding that is the common joke).  I think you should check it out to see if it's right for you! The only problem is that you need an invite to be able to sign up for an account.

Interested but don't know anyone on Pinterest? Comment and I will invite you!

The Vow

Normally, I absolutely love chick flicks and "The Vow" isn't any different except for the fact that I cannot wait for it to come to theaters!  I'm typically a person who can wait for a good movie to come out of theaters but this one is an exception!

"The Vow" is a classic, based on real life, love story that follows the lives of Paige (Rachel McAdams) and Leo (Channing Tatum) who begin as a newlywed couple that fall victim to a tragic car accident that leaves Paige with severe memory loss, remembering nothing of Leo.  Leo, in turn, vows to win her affections and rekindle their romance.

When I first saw the movie I thought that it was a Nicholas Sparks movie that I had missed the book of (how could you not associate Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in a love story to Nicholas Sparks?!) but I was completely wrong but excited none-the-less.  I have high expectations for this movie and I'm sure it won't disappoint.

From a marketing standpoint "The Vow" has done an excellent job. In addition to the website, "The Vow" also has a Facebook that is constantly updated, a Twitter page, YouTube, and has partnered with Parade Design engagement rings to name a few of the activities.  All are very well maintained and managed!  Not to mention the paired advertisements now have me looking at Parade Design engagements rings...

"The Vow" opens everywhere in theaters February 10th, just in time for Valentine's Day!
I'll be there, will you?

Wedding Scrapbook

While I was surfing I found this wonderful work of art!

It looks as though the artist used buttons, a cricket machine (for the decoration around the LOVE) or a cute pair of decoration scissors, two different paper layouts, heart stickers, small pink bows, and wonderful pictures of the bride and groom!

Sepia or Black and White photos add the perfect touch to this color scheme and the pink bows add a wonderful touch of color!
